About the Instructors

Kelly Mahler, OTD, OTR/L

Kelly Mahler is a fiery and passionate occupational therapist, international speaker, and award-winning author of The Interoception Curriculum, used worldwide by professionals and educators. She earned a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Misericordia University and has been an occupational therapist for over 20 years, serving school-aged children and adults. She is a winner of the 2020 American Occupational Therapy Association Emerging and Innovative Practice Award and a Mom’s Choice Gold Medal, and is an international speaker presenting on topics related to her 12 authored resources. Her work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, U.S. News and World Report, Time, HuffPost, The Associated Press, and more. Kelly is an AOTA-Approved Provider of professional development for occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants.

Sahana Baker-Malone, MA, OTR/L, PRPC

Sahana majored in Psychology at Scripps College in Claremont, California before receiving an MA in Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern California. She has been practicing occupational therapy since 2003 and has advanced certifications in the SIPT, swallowing and feeding, Therapeutic Listening, and the Masgutova Method, as well as advanced training and expertise in pediatric bowel and bladder dysfunction. Sahana previously worked in the only hospital on Maui, helping patients in acute and rehabilitation care, hand splinting, and performing modified barium swallow studies. She brings a rare combination of sensory integration expertise and pelvic rehabilitation specialization to everything she teaches.

Anna Vander Haeghe

Anna is a curious, passionate, and focused occupational therapist based in Alberta, Canada, with 25 years of experience working across the full lifespan in a small rural community. For the last 12 years, she has focused on supporting children from preschool to high school. Anna has been weaving interoception-based practice into her work since first discovering Kelly’s resources, and describes the shift as life-changing for her students and co-workers. She has mentored therapists around the world in how to modify interoception work for diverse learners and brings deep practical expertise to everything she shares.
